Eliminate the Bullshit: Week 1, Practice Here Now

Here is a practice video so you can get right to it this week! So here it is; a short mindfulness practice video. Next week, we will start Metta meditation on Tuesday, April 9th.

Let me know how it’s going.

  1. Hey! Calling all meditators! Day 2 of mindfulness practice — please do check in with me here! I just did my mindfulness practice at the beach, and yesterday at home! How’s it going for you?

You can even do it in a parked car — just turn off the music and set a timer.

  2. Did it last night! I did it as my last activity of the day – lying in bed and did not use a timer. I did end up falling asleep (a real feat for me!) but is that not recommended? Do you suggest I do this sitting up with a timer on?

  3. Hey Val,
Yes, I recommend you do it in a soft cross-legged position (see me in the video) sitting up tall. The benefits of sleep are immense so it’s not so bad that you feel asleep, but it’s hard to sharpen your focus while falling asleep. Our culture is so goal focused so I wish I could tell you that just 10 minutes a day will give you perfect skin and hair and a glow that eminates up to the stars, but I don’t know that. I just know that it will lead you towards something good.

    You are awesome! Good work!

  4. Checking in yogis! I’ve been doing my practice every day; most days I meditate at 11 p.m. because I’m not a morning person. How is it going for you? If you’ve missed days, just get back on the wagon. If you haven’t started, start today!

    Wishing you contentment!
